The RallyCross National Championship – the annual title event where RallyCrossers from across the nation gather to discover who is the best of the best – is headed to Hollytree Off Road Park in Hollytree, AL, on Oct. 17-20, 2024, and you’re invited to go. But if you want to slide your way to fun at this event, you first need to register – and if you want to register, there are dates you need to know.
While this year’s RallyCross Nats will be the first SCCA National Championship event held at the Hollytree site, it’s far from Hollytree Off Road Park’s first rodeo. Tennessee Valley Region hosts its RallyCrosses on the expansive site, and the location will also play host to the Southern Sweet Tea Classic RallyCross National Tour on Aug. 10-11, 2024 – this event is, in many ways, a preview of what’s to come in October.
(BTW: There’s still time to register for the Southern Sweet Tea Classic.)
Speaking of registering for events, registration for the RallyCross National Championship is about to begin, and there are a few things you should know. First, the $250 entry fee is a steal for three days of National Championship action, but there is an entry cap. To that end, each class is limited to 30 entries, with the exception of the UTV class, which is limited to 20 entries.
Registration Dates
Tier 1: July 24
Tier 1 registration opens on Wednesday, July 24, 2024, at 6 p.m. CT. This is for past RallyCross National Champions and 2023 RallyCross Nationals event chiefs.
Tier 2: July 31
Tier 2 registration opens on Wednesday, July 31, 2024, at 6 p.m. CT. Who qualifies for Tier 2? Anyone who participated at the RallyCross National Championships from 2019-’23.
Tier 3: Aug. 14
Tier 3 registration opens on Wednesday, Aug. 14, 2024, at 6 p.m. CT. This is the land rush. Tier 3 is open to anyone who wants to participate at the RallyCross National Championship.
Make Your Decision
Now that we know “when,” let’s decide “why.” And frankly, that’s the easy part.
Hollytree Off Road Park is a prime site, and there will be top-notch drivers to compete against. But even if you’re not quite into the “top-notch” part, this event will be a lot of fun. The weather in Northern Alabama is typically darn near perfect at that time of year – not too hot, and certainly not cold.
The site is also pristine. We mentioned Tennessee Valley Region, which is part of the Huntsville RallyX group. That group, which has been hosting events on the 1.3 million square feet of flat field for a decade, owns a motor grader that’s kept on site to ensure the surface is up to the task.
A limited number of camping spots with hookups are available on site, with details on how those will be assigned to come soon. All RVs are welcome, but please note that you will need to be able to drive through a small ditch to get in place.
And Now the How…
Now you know when, and you definitely know why. But how do you sign up?
The best way to get the link – and to answer any other questions you may have – is on the 2024 SCCA RallyCross National Championship event page.
